Manufacturing technique

After being cast in our own drawing mill, the Carobronze^® tubes and rods are heat-treated. Repeated cold forming measures and heat treatments follow this procedure in order to reach the properties required by customers. Thanks to this technology, the alloy achieves a fine-grained and homogenous structure. The Carobronze^® alloy therefore offers clear tribological advantages over pure cast bronze alloys.

The Carobronze^® alloy (CuSn8P) with its high phosphorous contents and the resulting high wear resistance cannot be produced in an "extruded" state.

Other alloys are produced in a similar way in our works.
